AIADMK lawmaker and Lok Sabha deputy speaker, M Thambidurai on Saturday slammed the former DMK government for failing to take action against Jallikattu. Speaking to the press after his meeting with the President of India, he said, “DMK was in power for a long time, why didn't they take this matter up, they've failed in this, which is why we're at this juncture.” Further, he also criticized PM Narendra Modi for neglecting the AIADMK MPs who reportedly sought an appointment to meet him, for over a year.
