The Telangana Prohibition and Excise Department reportedly issued notices to some Telugu actors, directors and producers to explain their alleged links to an accused drug dealer. The notice was issued under section 67 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act asking them to appear before the SIT in one week. "Some of the names came out during the interrogation of the arrested accused. There was also some evidence against a few others," said an official.
