WHATSAPP USERS FACING ISSUES: NOT ABLE TO SEE EACH OTHERS' 'LAST SEEN & SIGN OF BEING ONLINE'? - REPORT
Home > News Shots > TechnologyThe worldwide popular app WhatsApp is facing some issues with some of its features, for the past few days. Users are not able to see each other's last seen, or any signs of the person being online.
It is being noted that these WhatsApp privacy settings have been changed today. According to the Down Detector, an Independent outage monitor spotted an increase in WhatsApp down reports where users were tweeting about the same issue on their social media handle.
"67 percent of the users have reported issues with changing the Last Seen setting on their Android smartphone, or an iPhone. Whereas, 26 per cent of the users have complained about connection issuers and finally 6 percent of the reports suggest errors with users trying to login to the app," Down Detector said.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp users state that the Last Seen feature of WhatsApp has now been switched to Nobody which got a bit annoying for users who cannot go back to the previous settings.
As per WhatsApp beta tracker, WABetaInfo, all issues have been resolved and users who were not able to change their privacy settings can now easily do so. This issue has affected users in the US, UK, Europe, and parts of Asia including India and Singapore. These errors generally occur when there is something wrong on the server-side.
So far there is no official information revealed by WhatsApp regarding the issue or outage.
