Popular messaging platform WhatsApp has now rolled out the "Swipe to Reply" feature for its Android Beta app users.
According to a report in WABetaInfo, the feature was under development for over a month. The feature has now been made available for WhatsApp Android beta version 2.18.300. The feature works similarly to the one, already available on the iOS version, which lets users respond to messages with a swipe.
WhatsApp's "Swipe to Reply" feature will allow users to swipe a message that one wants to reply to towards the right side, which will directly open the message in the reply context. Users will no longer need to long press a message and click on the reply icon to reply to a particular message in a chat.
The website also shared a GIF to demonstrate how the feature will work. Click here to see
In addition, WhatsApp is also reportedly working on a Dark Mode for iOS and Android versions. However, it is unclear as to when it will be rolled out for the public.
