Reports suggest that technology giant Google may buy HTC's smartphone business which has been struggling for the last few quarters. A Chinese media report said Google may “either become a strategic partner, or outright buy the entire smartphone unit”. However, Taiwanese electronics company HTC's virtual reality business is unlikely to be a part of the deal, say reports.
