Google Chrome extension's hack floods ads to 30,000 users

According to reports, Google Chrome’s extension Copyfish was recently hacked to flood its 30,000 users with ads. The hack took place when one of Copyfish's developers accessed a malicious link in an email. The email urged the developer to update his extension, or it would be removed from the Chrome Web Store. Notably, the hack was identified by Copyfish team only after a day.
