Team Avishkar from Chennai IIT has developed a new Hyperloop pod (Advanced transportation facility) which has the capacity to travel in 1000Kmph. In an interview to Behindwoods, the students from Team Avishkar revealed that though Hyperloop pod, people can travel from Chennai to Bengaluru in just 30 minutes. They also shared their experience of participating in the Space X competition organized by Elon Musk in California, USA.

The students from team Team Avishkar were quite excited when Elon Musk’s Space X announced the Hyperloop competition 2017. They had just two months of time for the preliminary level of preparation which they had eventually cracked and moved to the next round. However, they could not make it to the finals in 2017 competition.

Further, the students explained how challenging it was to keep themselves enthusiastic for the past two years. After making it to the finals of Space X this time, Team Avishkar made an unprecedented achievement not just in India but in Asia as the whole. In fact, Avishkar is the only team from Asia to have made it to the finals of Space X Hyperloop competition till date.

We got to know that the Hyperloop project has already been proposed for public transportation in North India. The students revealed that the project might take off in another 5 years in North India and shall be enhanced in the other parts of the country very soon in the near future.
