Apple ordered to pay $440 million for patent dispute

A US court has reportedly ordered technology giant Apple to pay $440 million to a patent-holding firm VirnetX for allegedly using FaceTime and other iOS apps. According to media reports, the iPhone maker plans to appeal this judgement. Reportedly, VirnetX first filed suit against Apple in 2010.
