APPLE’S FIRST ONLINE STORE TO LAUNCH IN INDIA NEXT WEEK; WILL OFFER STUDENT DISCOUNTS ON MACBOOKS, IPADS OTHERS
Home > News Shots > TechnologyAfter a long wait, Apple is finally launching its online store in India; it is all set to open on September 23.
With its launch, Apple will offer a full range of products along with direct customer support through online team members. This is the first official “Apple Store” in India as the company has been selling its products through authorised resellers.
“We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities. We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time,” said Deirdre O'Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People.
According to a Hindustan Times report, customer support will be available in both English and Hindi at Apple's online store for people so that any issue or doubt would be clarified.
The experts known as “Apple Specialists” will help customers in finding out about new products, and also custom-configuring Mac devices. Meanwhile, Apple will also offer financing options on its products along with a trade-in program.
As a small surprise to students, Apple will also offer student discounts on MacBooks, iPads, accessories and even AppleCare+. Apple also plans to launch its first retail store in India by 2021, Hindustan Times further reported.
Not just in selling its products, Apple also plans to provide free online “Today at Apple” sessions on photography and music in October. The company will also offer signature gift wraps and personalised engraving for select products.
Customers who are interested in the signature gift wraps can get personalised engraving of either emoji or text in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu that will be available for AirPods, and in English for iPad and Apple Pencil.
We know how important it is for our customers to stay in touch with those they love and the world around them. We can’t wait to connect with our customers and expand support in India with the Apple Store online on September 23! 🇮🇳https://t.co/UjR31jzEaY
