Yahoo on Tuesday said that all 3 billion of its accounts were hacked in a 2013 data theft according to a “recently obtained new intelligence”. However, it reportedly said the stolen information did not include passwords in clear text, payment card data, or bank account information. Yahoo had, in December 2016, said data from more than 1 billion user accounts was compromised in 2013.
