Alcohol may boost memory and learning: Study

Researchers from the University of Exeter in the UK have reportedly claimed that drinking alcohol after learning something new may help better retain the information in memory. For the study, 88 social drinkers were given a word-learning task and then split into two groups at random. They were told either to drink as much as they liked or not to drink at all. They did the same the next day also. Researchers say those who had drunk alcohol remembered more of what they had learned.
