According to media reports, around 30,000 telecom employees are likely to face layoff due to the sturdy competition by Reliance Jio. Reportedly, major recruitment firms such as Randstad India, Korn Ferry, TeamLease Services, Manpower Group Services and ABC Consultants have estimated that about 20,000 to 30,000 employees will be at a risk to lose their jobs by the end of next year. Notably, RCom announced the shut down of its voice call services from December 1.
