A Mysuru techie was billed Rs 5,325 for a 6-km ride by an Uber driver at the end of a trip from City Railway station to the Satellite Bus Stop on Mysuru Road. Praveen was reportedly told that the bill for the current trip was Rs 103, but the rest was from his previous unpaid due amount. The driver, Santhos Kumar Senapati, reportedly said the Uber operative advised him to either make Praveen pay the entire amount or contact the local police. Praveen reportedly said, “This, I could not believe as I was using Uber only for the second time in two years.” It finally turned out to be a glitch in Uber's system. Eventually, Praveen had to only pay the present billed amount of Rs 103.
