UDHAYANIDHI STALIN WITHDRAWS REMARK ON COIMBATORE AFTER DMK’S VICTORY

A party function was held at the Suguna Auditorium in Coimbatore yesterday. Chennai, Chepauk constituency assembly member and DMK youth wing leader Udhayanidhi Stalin and Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Udayanithi Stalin said, "There was a problem in believing the voters in Coimbatore due to past experiences. I had, prior to local body election, remarked that people in Coimbatore were mischievous and could not be relied upon. I am now withdrawing the remark as you have given 96 out of 100 seats to the DMK and its allies in the Corporation and majority in seven municipalities."
Earlier in the day, Udhayanidhi Stalin ahanded over educational assistance of Rs 10,000 each to 524 students, and presented sewing machines to 500 women.

The DMK has won a landslide victory in the local body elections in Coimbatore. Udhayanidhi Stalin thanked all the party executives and members of the Comrades who worked hard to make this possible. Udhayanidhi also thanked Minister Senthil Balaji and said, "Brother Senthil Balaji delivered on his promise to not just giving his 100% in election, but 1000%. This is not only a victory for him but also a victory for the Chief Minister's eight months of excellent rule." .
Udhayanidhi pointed out at the event that a special fund of Rs 200 crore has been provided to the Coimbatore Corporation and it has been announced in the Tamil Nadu budget that a new technology park will be set up in Coimbatore.
The DMK had won 96 of the 100 wards in Coimbatore in the urban local body elections. Similarly, 7 municipalities were captured by the DMK and its allies.
