TIRUMALA TIRUPATI DEVASTHANAM TO PERFORM 'SRINIVASA KALYANAM' IN CHENNAI - DETAILS!

Earlier, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam had announced the appointment of 3 members and 21 members, including Minister Durai Murugan's son and Vellore MP Kathir Anand, as the Deputy Chairman of the Local Advisory Committee of the Srinivasa Perumal Temple in Thyagaraya Nagar, Chennai.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the temple last month. It was chaired by A.J. Sekhar Reddy, Local Advisory Committee (LAC) Chairman for the States of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board of Trustees Chairman YV Subba Reddy was present and Chief Executive Officer Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy IAS and Additional Chief Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy administered the oath of office to all the members.
It was also mentioned at the press conference of the event that the Padmavathi Mother Temple would be built at GN Chetty Road, Thyagaraya Nagar, Chennai which will be consecrated in October and steps are being taken to build a temple and a wedding hall at the vacant place in Raipet, Chennai.
Besides, a request was made to the Pondicherry Government to provide an alternative site for the construction of the Srinivasa Perumal temple in Pondicherry and to seek permission from the corporation to approve the projects.
Following this, it was informed that the Srinivasa Kalyanam (the wedding ceremony of Lord Venkateswara with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi) will be held in the month of April 2022 at Chennai Island. Accordingly, on behalf of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, the announcement and invitation for "Srinivasa Kalyanam" to be held on April 16 at 7 pm at the Island Grounds, Chennai.
