Chief Minister Stalin has said that police superintendents should take immediate action without waiting for further orders on law and order.
Meeting
A three-day session with district collectors, police officers and forest officials, was held today at the General Secretariat in Chennai. The conference was chaired by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Minister Stalin said, ""I will not make any compromise on matters related to maintenance of law and order. I believe that all of you would have realised it. In particular, the government will never allow crimes against women and children, economic offences, drug and narcotics related offences."
He further urged the police to "maintain law and order to prevent crime from occurring".
He also said, "Immediate action must be taken against anyone who acts in a way that is detrimental to religious harmony with no mercy shown to them."
Praise
Stalin praised the police officers who served well during the Corona period. In addition, the Chief Minister honored police officers with outstanding awards.
Stalin presented awards to the District Superintendents of Police in Thoothukudi, Vellore, Namakkal, Coimbatore and the Madurai Police Commissioner for their outstanding service during the meetings with the District Administrators and the District Superintendents of Police.
Hope
After presenting the award to police officers, Stalin wrote on his Twitter page, "I hope everyone in the police force will work hard to get this award for themselves next year."
