CHENNAI WOMAN GETS JEWELLERY STOLEN BY 'HOLY' MEN

A superstitious 45-year-old woman from Manali had her gold jewellery robbed by five men in the guise of holy priests on Saturday. The woman reportedly lived alone and had been suffering from body pain for some time. She believed that the men who turned up at her door will definitely cure her.

The men allegedly fooled her stating that her body conditions were due to an evil spirit haunting her. They requested her to remove her jewels and place it on a plate and made a show of exorcising the spirit. They claimed that the jewels have to be buried in the spirit's grave and took it all away.

The victim immediately called her son-in-law and informed the police. The five men were immediately caught even as they were approaching their next victim.
