Woman attempts self-immolation in front of Collector's office

The mother of a newlywed woman who died under mysterious circumstances poured kerosene over herself and attempted self-immolation in front of the Tirunelveli District Collector’s office, alleging that no investigation into her daughter’s death was done by the police. She was stopped by the police officers present at the spot and was assured that the police would look into her complaint and take necessary action.
