According to reports, a woman was arrested by the police for using obscene words against BJP's Tamil Nadu unit President Tamilisai Soundararajan. A video of the woman verbally abusing Tamilisai was released on social media.
Reportedly, the video went viral on WhatsApp and Facebook. BJP workers filed a complaint against the woman for talking bad against their leader. Their complaint reportedly stated that because of such obscene comments against women, they fear publicity.
After the complaint was filed, the police took action against the woman, Surya Devi and arrested her. Reportedly, Surya Devi is from Trichy and was staying at a hotel during the arrest.
