Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has reportedly warned BJP and RSS to stop ‘atrocities’ against Dalits and backward castes, threatening that she will convert to Buddhism, if they don’t. Invoking Ambedkar at a BSP conclave in Nagpur on Sunday, Mayawati said, “I will also convert to Buddhism with my crores of followers...at an appropriate time like Ambedkar, if the BJP and RSS don’t change their disrespectful, casteist and communal behaviour towards the Dalits and backward caste people and their leaders.”
