TNM quotes several workers as being questioning about their compensation for injuries occured during both line of work as well as bearing the brunt of the anti-Sterlite protests.
Despite the many denials, Vedanta Limited that runs Sterlite has been pulled up for unsafe work conditions.
While some employees on the condition of anonymity said that an extent of expenses for injuries was covered under the insurance scheme, many allege unpaid bills by the corporation and are also staring at a loss of livelihood. Some even claim to have slipped into depression over an uncertain future.
