The Regional Meteorological Department has reportedly said that conditions for rainfall are likely in coastal districts including Chennai while the interior districts of Tamil Nadu will remain dry. Reports say, Chennai is likely to remain partly cloudy and receive drizzles on Sunday due to easterly and northeasterly winds, which will bring moisture. However, no rain was recorded in the city on Saturday.
