According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the low depression over the Southeast Arabian sea is likely to move towards the north-west and can transform into a deep depression in the next 24 hours. IMD has reportedly forecasted heavy rain and thundershower over parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the next 48 hours.
