Arjun Sampath of the Hindu Makkal Katchi was quoted as saying that the group welcomes actor Rajinikanth's foray into politics as the latter is spiritual and nationalist. He would help in linking of rivers, Sampath is said to have said. On the actor's part though, he has kept guessing regarding his plunge into politics.
