After the TN CM Edappadi K Palaniswami and the Deputy CM O Panneerselvam decided not to attend the opening ceremony of the late actor Sivaji Ganeshan, his son and actor Prabhu reportedly said that the CM and the Deputy CM are being disrespectful by doing so. He also allegedly requested them to take part in the ceremony, adding that their party leader J Jayalalithaa was the one who made this memorial a reality. The memorial is proposed to be opened on Sivaji's birthday, October 1.
