MAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE IN FRONT OF COLLECTOR'S OFFICE

One Shankar belonging to Rathnagiri of Vellore district created ripples on Monday when he tried to commit suicide in front of the collector's office.

It is learnt that officials had procured his house, which was on the highways. Despite being given an alternative arrangement, Shankar alleged that he was not provided with a patta.

Shankar alleged that though he has given plea at the collector's office multiple times in relation to the incident, no action was being taken and consumed kerosene in protest.

Cops saved Shankar and admitted him to hospital. Further investigations are underway.
