The Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur is reportedly under tight scanner so as to protect trees and animals in the zoo during the fast-approaching northeast monsoon. During cyclone Vardha, the zoo reportedly lost at least 15,000 trees. As one of the precautionary methods, the zoo authorities have reportedly vacated all the animals.
