To curb the threat faced by the Thiru Vi Ka bridge across Adyar, the Madras High Court has reportedly urged the Chennai Metro water supply and sewerage board to immediately act on removing the bushes and trees on the bridge in two months. There are water pipelines adjacent to the bridge which might be affected due to the trees. A PIL was earlier filed by an advocate N Elumalai which had the concerns of trees and the ill-maintained pipelines adjacent to the bridge.
