“TRANSPORTATION FACILITIES WERE MADE SUFFICIENTLY” CLAIMS EPS

TN CM EPS has announced that AIADMK candidates will be announced for the bye elections of 4 constituencies, including Aravakurichi. Election Commission has announced that the elections will be held on May 19.

According to Puthiya Thalaimurai, when EPS met the press in Salem Airport, he said that AIADMK will garner more votes and win majority of the constituencies in bye election and in Lok Sabha elections. He also said that the same coalition may continue.

Further, he said that on the Election Day, sufficient transportation facilities have been made. He has made this statement in a time when people have been claiming to not be able to travel to their hometowns for voting and for the long weekend. People were seen sleeping on the platforms of CMBT and hours long traffic was seen in CMBT, Perungalathur, Tambaram and other areas.

People waited hours to get a bus. Many weren’t able to travel. Commuting within the city was also an issue. It was covered by many media and there was also a two-hour-long protest that happened in and out of CMBT.
