Around 107 transgenders allegedly demanded own houses or Pattas in their name in Coimbatore. The transgenders attended a special grievance meeting on Tuesday which is held twice a year with the district collector. Reportedly, they also asked the collector to speed the process of giving them ration cards and voter IDs and provide them with medical certificates and welfare board identity cards which should be issued by the transgender board. According to media reports, the district social welfare collector has forwarded all their demands to the respective departments.
