It was a day of high drama at the Dharapuram Municipality Office in Tiruppur district on Friday afternoon as a young woman named Rajpu Nisa doused herself in gasoline. Cops rushed to her rescue and poured water over her. Reports say that she had paid a bribe to get the post of a midday meals organiser to the municipality. The municipality denied the allegations levelled by the young woman.
