TN: This city has the lowest number of licensed eateries

According to data released by the Tamil Nadu Food Safety and Drug Administration, out of 27,357 eateries in Madurai (food businesses of all kinds), only 29% have been certified by the government as being safe and hygienic. Chennai has the highest number of certified eateries, with 54% of them being either licensed or registered.
