A report by the Flood Monitoring division of Central Water Commission has warned that the water level in many rivers of Tamil Nadu may rise as heavy rains are expected to continue till December 5. The water level in the reservoirs around Chennai may rise before December 6 due to incessant rains, the report said. Meanwhile, the meteorological centre has told that Dindigul, Theni, Coimbatore and Nilgiris may receive intense rains, while other districts are likely to receive heavy rains.
