A newborn baby girl was reportedly found in a sack in a garbage bin on the Kovilpatti-Sankarankovil road in Nalattinputhur. The locals and the police rescued the newborn and admitted her to the Kovilpatti Government Hospital. Sources say that the baby will soon be handed over to the government’s cradle baby scheme centre.
