Tamil Nadu deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam reportedly said that the bus fare in the state is the lowest when compared to its neighbours. The government in a statement said that Karnataka charges 59p/km, Kerala - 64p/km, Andhra Pradesh - 63p/km, for ordinary moffusil buses while TN charges just 60p/km. TN government hiked bus ticket rates on Friday.
