TN WARNS OFFICE-GOERS IN THESE DISTRICTS TO RETURN HOME BEFORE 4 PM

Due to the intensity of the approaching Cyclone Gaja, the Tamil Nadu government has asked for government and private company workers to leave home by 4 pm.

As of Thursday morning, Cyclone Gaja is about 370 km east-southwest of Chennai and 370 km east-northeast of Nagapattinam. Reportedly, Gaja is expected to make landfall between Pamban and Cuddalore near Nagapattinam during the evening/night of November 15.

As a precaution, the TN government asked for workers to leave home before 4 pm in seven districts including, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Tanjore, Pudhukottai, Ramanathapuram, Tuticorin and Thiruvarur.
