The Tamil Nadu government on Monday reportedly filed an interim petition in the Supreme Court demanding the immediate release of 4 tmc of Cauvery river water. Meanwhile, the Karnataka government earlier on Monday filed an affidavit in the SC stating that it cannot release water due to the shortage of rainfall.
