NOW PUBLIC EXAMS WILL BE CONDUCTED FOR THESE CLASSES AS WELL, SAYS TN GOVT!

The Tamil Nadu Government, today (September 13), announced that class 5 and 8 students will have board exams starting from the current academic year. However, the exam results will not impact students’ promotion. The Directors of the Department of Education have been instructed to implement the proposed plan.

“As of now, we have given in principle approval to conduct board exams for these classes. The modalities of the exam and who will conduct it will be worked out later," a school education department official was quotes as saying by TOI.

He further said the exams would be a good tool to assess students and teachers.
