Sridhar Dhanapal widely known as Kanchipuram don allegedly committed suicide by consuming cyanide in Cambodia on Wednesday in his farmhouse. Reportedly, there were 44 charged sheets against him in Tamil Nadu. He was facing charges of murder, money laundering, abduction and illicit liquor trade in Kanchipuram. Sridhar fled to Dubai in 2015 with a fake Srilankan passport, but the police have no clue on how he landed in Cambodia. According to media reports, before ending his life, Sridhar sent a list of top police officials who benefited from him to the Prime Minister's office.
