Following a case filed by a consumer alleging that he found a dead fly in a Sprite bottle, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum in Chennai has reportedly directed the Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages and the proprietor of a medical store in Egmore to pay Rs 15,000 as compensation to the consumer. Reports say, the complainant bought a 600-ml Sprite bottle on October 2010 for Rs 24 and found a dead fly in the bottle after which he filed a complaint.
