COVID-19 IN TN: DISTRICT WISE BREAKUP, TOTAL POSITIVE CASES, DEATHS AND RECOVERIES AS ON SEPT 19

Tamil Nadu on Saturday, September 19, reported 5,569 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 5,36,477.   

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  46,453. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,23,290 / 2,13,157 / 30.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –175 (66 Govt + 109 Private).  

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   63,88,583.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  85,117.   

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   61,90,593.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   83,265.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date – 4,81,273.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  5,556.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 66 (30 Private & 36 Govt) / total 8,751.
