COVID-19 IN TN: DISTRICT WISE BREAKUP, TOTAL POSITIVE CASES, DEATHS AND RECOVERIES AS ON SEPT 16

Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, September 16, reported 5,652 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 5,19,860.   

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  46,633. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,13,327 / 2,06,504 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –170 (65 Govt + 105 Private).  

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –  61,33,399.  

- Total number of samples tested today –    84,567.      

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –  59,40,944.   

- Total number of persons tested today –   82,644.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 4,64,668.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –    5,768.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 57 (23 Private & 34 Govt) / total 8,559.
