COVID-19 IN TN: DISTRICT WISE BREAKUP, TOTAL POSITIVE CASES, DEATHS AND RECOVERIES AS ON OCT 9

Tamil Nadu on Friday, October 9, reported 5,185 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 6,46,128.

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu: 

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  44,197. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –   3,90,244 / 2,55,853 / 31.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 190 (66 Govt + 124 Private). 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –     81,41,534.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  97,087. 

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   79,06,698.  

- Total number of persons tested today –  95,301.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 5,91,811.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,357.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 68 (34 Private & 34 Govt) / total 10,120.
