COVID-19 IN TN: DISTRICT WISE BREAKUP, TOTAL POSITIVE CASES, DEATHS AND RECOVERIES AS ON OCT 7

Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, October 7, reported 5,447 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 6,35,855.

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu: 

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  45,135. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,83,967 / 2,51,857 / 31.    

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –190 (66 Govt + 124 Private).   

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –  79,57,106.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 93,242.   

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –  77,25,962.  

- Total number of persons tested today –  91,401.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  5,80,736.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  5,524.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 67 (32 Private & 35 Govt) / total 9,984.
