COVID-19 IN TN: DISTRICT WISE BREAKUP, TOTAL POSITIVE CASES, DEATHS AND RECOVERIES AS ON OCT 1

Tamil Nadu on Thursday, October 1, reported 5,688 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 6,03,290.

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   46,369. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,64,129 / 2,39,130 / 31.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –187 (66 Govt + 121 Private).   

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –  74,41,697.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 87,647. 

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   72,21,686.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   85,808.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 5,47,335.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,516.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 66 (27 Private & 39 Govt) / total 9,586.
