TAMIL COUPLE GETS BEATEN UP BY MAN IN WAYANAD: VIDEO GOES VIRAL

A disturbing video has gone viral where a Tamil-speaking couple was beaten up by a local man at Ambalavayal in Wayanad. This shocking video has attracted strong criticism on social media and is making headlines across the state.

According to New Indian Express report, the local man is believed to be a tipper driver who is seen thrashing a Tamil-speaking man before a crowd. People watched the couple getting beaten while all stood mute. When a woman tried to question the local man, she is also badly slapped on her face.

In the video, the driver can be heard asking the woman "What is your relation with him?" to which the woman said "I am his wife", Express further reported.

Highlighting over the shocking video, Ambalavayal police said that, the incident took place around 11.30 pm on Sunday. "They had claimed to be a couple. But the locals said they doubted if they were indeed a couple," the sub-inspector at the Ambalavayal police station said.

Currently, the police are in search of the accused as well as the Tamil-speaking couple. A case has also been registered in this matter after the footage went viral on social media.
