Tamil Nadu on Friday, 29 May, reported 874 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state 20,246.
Of the 874 new cases, 141 are people who have returned from other States (Maharashtra-135, Kerala-3, West Bengal-1, Karnataka-1, and Telengana-1)
Nine people succumbed to the virus on the date taking the death toll of the state to 154.

Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 6,269
Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 11,313
Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 765
