A bus fell into a gorge when climbing uphill after the driver lost control on the hairpin bend at Aliyar-Valparai Road. The bus fell into a 30 feet deep valley. Reportedly, four passengers were severely injured and admitted to a Government hospital in critical condition. According to media reports, 13 passengers had minor injuries, and 14 passengers escaped unhurt.
