Tiruvarur: Husband hacks wife to death

A man was arrested for hacking his wife to death following an argument in Ezhilur near Thiruthuraipoondi in Tiruvarur. The man, Iyyappan, used to drink alcohol every day and abuse his wife. Iyappan, along with his wife and two children, visited a relative in Manali. The man and his wife grew an argument on Monday morning and he started attacking her with a sickle, say reports. The woman died on the spot. Police later nabbed the man who went into hiding.
