Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam on Thursday reportedly met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and submitted a petition on the electricity need for the State. Reports suggest that Panneerselvam requested PM Modi to supply double the amount of coal that is currently supplied to generate more electricity to meet the needs of the State. Further, State electricity minister Thangamani will reportedly meet the Union Railway and Electricity Ministers in the afternoon to discuss the developmental programmes for Tamil Nadu.
